Make time to write!

With all the excitement of having my first novel completed and published, I've been working hard on my next book which is a sequel. It's hard juggling a full time job and a family and finding the time to write. A good thing is that my wife now gets up at 4:30 am and leaves around 5:30. The kids aren't up until 7 or so and most days I dont have to leave until after that. I ca usually squeeze in an hour or so which has been helping. I have also been driving with the radio off in the car, this way I can think about future chapters and characters.
I was interested in knowing what anyone does to make time to write under these types of circumstances.
Please share if you can.
Thank  you.

  1. I'm with you. The early morning hours before the kids are awake is a great time to write. I was always too tired once I got home from work.
Driving without the radio is good, too. I like to walk. Whenever I get stuck, I head outside with my little notebook. I can't come home til I figure out the scene.

  2. @marsha cornelius ----thank you for reading. i also like coming home during lunch and sometime hammering out a few pages (an hour or so break)
just trying to exercise the writing muscle(is that a real thing?) every day.

  3. I've nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Take a look at my blog http://chrismawbey.blogspot.com for more details

  4. thank you very much chris. i really appreciate it!

  5. Wonderful blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News. Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never sbobet
seem to get there! Many thanks.
